Agency Description: A&PI Wellness Center's mission is to educate, support, empower, and advocate for Asian and Pacific Islander (A&PI) communities - particularly A&PIs living with, or at-risk for HIV/AIDS. A&PI Wellness Center is the oldest and most comprehensive, nonprofit in North America focusing on Asian and Pacific Islander communities around sexual health and HIV/AIDS.

Position Description: The Research and Technical Assistance department provide HIV prevention capacity building assistance to organizations and health departments who serve Asian and Pacific Islanders in the United States and Pacific Island Jurisdictions.

Major Responsibilities:
· Training – Conduct HIV prevention trainings, consultation and similar interventions, customized to meet organization’s levels of knowledge and experience. Develops and revises training / workshop curricula and materials as necessary in response to the needs of the target audiences.
· Program Coordination – Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operation of the program: processing request for services, building collaborations with national partners, writing reports documenting ongoing progress of program. Coordinate consultant and contract trainers.
· Planning & Evaluation – Conduct needs/ asset assessments and provide technical assistance to community-based organizations and health departments in program development, intervention and evaluation, and organizational development. Support the development of annual program and evaluation plans.
· Out of Bay Area travel – approximately 25%
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree with one year of experience in the HIV prevention and treatment education field;
· Two(2) years experience working with HIV organizations serving communities of color;
· Two(2) years experience in providing training or education;· Ability to work effectively with diverse organizations, groups and individuals serving communities of color;
· Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills, with sensitivity to appropriate delivery depending on target and audience;
· Ability to work independently and in a team setting
· Strong project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
· Fluency in English and an A&PI language
· Four (4) years of strong experience of providing capacity building assistance to community based organizations, health departments and/or community stakeholders at community level, preferably with A&PIs at high-risk for HIV and/ or HIV positive A&PI communities.
· Masters Degree in Public Health or related field
