This was not getting much attention in the resume category, but I am a skilled and experienced video producer looking for part time work. I can and have done it all; editing on Adobe Premier, AVID, and FCP, News Anchoring, Writing, Reporting, Voice Tracking, Shooting, Hosting, Creating Graphics, Radio D.J.ing...
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am seeking a part time job in video production or broadcasting; I already have a desireable amount of experience for not yet having my bachelor's degree. I am currenly attending San Francisco State University, and am working at a local TV station. However, due to budget restraints, my hours were drastically cut. This leaves me able (and willing) to explore other avenues of the Broadcasting field. I would consider almost anything from radio promotions to producing to hosting to editing (I know FCP, AVID, Adobe Premier). Ideally, I would love to report packages for a local news website, or something along those lines. I know several such websites have been popping up.
My resume follows, but please contact me through email for now. I have chosen to leave my actual email and phone number off of the posting to deter unwanted solicitations, and because I still appear on local television.
Thank You.

For TV30 News, a live newscast that runs on weekdays, I write, shoot and edit readers, VOs and VOSOTs, as well as report packages. I also produce and anchor the weekend newscast, TV30 Weekend. Additionally, I work on many other shows running the audio board, video server, still store, teleprompter, or as the floor director. I produced our most recent Christmas show, “Santa Claus Live! 2005”, and have co-hosted it for the past two years. I have edited promos for shows, which run on any one of our three stations between shows and during commercial breaks. Finally, I was an election correspondent for our 2005 live election show, and during a town hall election forum.
KKIQ/Coast Radio, Pleasanton, CA – December 2003 to February 2005
I was a producer and a board operator for “For Lover’s Only”, which airs on both KKIQ and KUIC in Vacaville. My responsibilities included helping the engineer at KUIC synchronize the shows using the RCS system, screening phone calls for the DJ, recording calls on the shortcut in the absence of the DJ, taking meter readings, keeping the music and program logs, and taking requests and dedications.
PROJECTS AND CREDITS
“Civil War Combat”, Greystone Productions/History Channel, Livermore, CA – August 2001
As an assistant costumer on a location shoot, I helped measure the actors for costumes, sew and repair costumes, assign the actors the proper costumes, and make the costumes look appropriate between shots.
INTERNSHIPS
“MythBusters”, Beyond Productions/Discovery Channel, San Francisco, CA – February 2006 to Present
I do random tasks for a weekly science-based television documentary/reality show, which airs internationally. My primary job is to help the producers’ research urban myths, using the internet and telephone. I also track down necessary components of the show, securing props and contacting people. I also take care of other tasks, such as making trips to the public library to research newspaper articles.
BROADCAST AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
KOHL Radio, Ohlone College, Fremont, CA – June 2003 to January 2005
Live air talent for a commercially formatted college radio station. I was responsible for creating local, funny and current content, creating the traffic report, and writing weather, all within a strict top forty format. I also voiced a commercial that ran during other DJ’s shifts, was air talent for remotes, and voice-tracked overnight shifts using RCS MasterControl.
Ohlone Network News, Ohlone College, Fremont, CA – August 2003 to December 2004
I participated in a live weekly newscast. I started out reporting, shooting, writing, and editing news packages, as well as anchoring and writing copy, until the following semester when my teacher made me the news producer. I then went on to join the technical and directing side of the class where I was the technical director, audio engineer, and studio camera operator.

I have varying degrees of knowledge of the following computer programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, AVID Meridian, AVID Xpress, AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Adobe PhotoShop, WinCue, ENR, Final Cut Pro, and RCS Master Control.
