Category Farm & Horses : Training
Created 03/15/06
Description I am looking for an in home female caregiver for my disabled mother in Sausalito. This is NOT live-in but IS a long term permanent position.

Hours: 10:15ish PM for approximately one hour an evening. You pick a minimum of 4 days up to all 7 days if you'd like. PLUS Wednesday afternoon to work a full shift from 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities: Each evening you will give mother her medications, undress and change into her nightgown, help transfer from wheelchair to bed and properly position her in bed by propping pillows. COMPLETE TRAINING AVAILABLE. For the long shift, you will thoroughly clean her very small studio apartment, prepare dinner and finally put her to bed before you leave.

A little about mother: She is a very loving person, extremely easy to get along with and never complains. She is in a wheelchair but can stand for short periods and can pivot to transfer. She does not walk. She is heavyset but don’t let that scare you. This really is an easy job for the right person.

A little about you: You have recent personal care experience with references. You are a caring, responsible, trustworthy and dependable person who knows how to communicate. You follow instructions well. You must read/speak/understand English with ease. You are strong and safety minded. You are available to start immediately (or at least very soon). You will be completely and thoroughly trained but prior caregiving experience is required.

A little about the pay: $9/hour cash through trial period of 3 weeks. After that a raise to $9.25/hour cash.

Contact me at (415) 331-3999 between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm or respond here by email if you are interested or have further questions. Only serious inquiries please. If you don't want to work, please don't bother.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
