Davis Instruments is seeking a smart and knowledgeable candidate to become responsible for all aspects of Help Desk support. We are looking for a positive and energetic self-starter who can meet this challenge to solve problems quickly and make smart decisions. This position reports directly to the I.T. Manager. Our I.T. department is a small but effective, busy but organized, overloaded but a productive team. Help Desk Support General Responsibilities and Duties Include:
About 50% of your time will be spent supporting end users and their PCs to solve various problems ranging from simple to complex (Level 1 and Level 2). The remaining 50% of your time will be spent working on routine, but important, organization and maintenance of network printers, a software library, patching, and license management.

1. Primary responsibility for HelpDesk support of 80 Windows users.
2. Complete responsibility for setup and maintenance of all PCs and software deployments
3. Administration, deployment, and maintenance of all network printers
4. Software, hardware, and license inventory management
Required Skills:
• Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills
• Excellent working knowledge of PC Hardware, TCP/IP, Windows 2000/2003/XP, Active Directory, Exchange, Anti-Virus, VPN, MS Office, and other PC applications.
Help Desk Support Position Requirements:
• A AA/BA (or equivalent experience) and at least 3-5 years professional experience of primary responsibility for Helpdesk operations using Windows based servers in an Enterprise Environment.
• Experience supporting end-users and a Microsoft MCP, MCSA or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Wear a pager and be available for support on or off site (we are not a 24x7 environment)
