Hello, I’m a seasoned tech project manager/engineer looking to return to construction in any capacity that lets me learn.
I have on/off experience with most areas of new and remodel residential construction (brother is a GC in Sonoma) - carpentry, electrical, plumbing and sheetrock, ect... but have been primarily building networks, wireless and data security systems for the last 20 years.
I grew up working for the family steel contracting business and also have experience with welding, pre-fab metal buildings, and structural steel, concrete ect...
Also have been involved at different levels of datacenter and data wiring plant construction projects- I know DC and data cabling pretty well.
I have some tools, transport and speak Spanish well. I’m in excellent physical shape and know something about how to run projects, estimating, read plans and talking at the budget/business level. Not a stranger to leadership, but also a good worker/team player.
I’m looking for an opportunity to work in the East Bay in a situation where I can learn the construction business top-to-bottom; I’m not afraid of physical labor and willing to pay my dues with a hammer. Looking forward to using my hands again and being outside… at least part of the time- been staring at a computer way too much over the years.
Easy to get along with, very reliable with excellent driving record and no criminal history. College degree and much tech training. References available.
Part time up to 30/hr per week to start.
