1) student who can handle a dog now but might not be here next year!
2) in between jobs and have some extra time to devote to a companion animal!
3) living in a dog friendly apartment now but might move sometime soon!
4) not sure if you are actually ready to adopt and want to find out in a responsible way if you can handle a dog in your life?

Well then fostering a dog might be perfect for you!
Rocket Dog Rescue is an all volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to saving dogs from shelters. Our foster caregivers take in our wonderful dogs on a temporary basis until permanent homes can be found. Fosters assist in training our dogs and help them to overcome any fears or stresses caused by their abandonment or abuse. Most importantly, our foster parents help us find homes for our dogs by getting them out into the community and introducing them around. This is a great way to get the dogs out of the shelters and into the loving environments they so desperately crave and deserve.
We are looking for some great homes for these great dogs. Do you have a great home that you are willing to share with a furry dog friend that deserves lots of love? Rocket Dog is able to save hundreds of dogs each year because of a dedicated team of foster homes and we desperately need more right now.
If you have any experience with pit bulls I'd especially like to hear from you. The pit bulls we have at the moment need one on one focused attention and aren't getting it. They are young and energetic and need to live with experienced owners and could benefit from some professional training. Rocket Dog is willing to pay if you are willing to take the time.
