• Used InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and the company's e-commerce software in the production and maintenance of web and print catalogs that our company produced for the hotel industry.

• Prepped imagery for web and print as necessary, by masking, color retouching, mocking up composites, and putting them into the necessary format specifications.

• Designed print collateral and other web and print promotional pieces for the company and worked with the marketing department, as well as our PR firm to promote our brand.

• Worked on special projects in which I learned on-demand skills in Flash, XML, using CAD floorplans, and more.

• Developed creative concepts for upcoming projects and participated in Creative Department brainstorming meetings.

• Assumed the role of primary designer after two months at the company, taking over all editorial layout and image
editing, along with many other responsibilities.

• Produced commercial websites for four small businesses, Surfnet Malibu, Next Day Sheet Metal, Steiner•s Jewelry and Natural High Health and Fitness.

• Using Dreamweaver, HTML, Photoshop, and Fireworks, created sites with frames, rollovers, menus, style sheets and other necessary elements consistent with the customers• existing style.

• Worked with the owners of the businesses to make a site that accommodated both the owner's requirements and maintained proper functionality expected from a commercial website.

• Helping to lead team meetings in which design and content are discussed.

• Used Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Distiller and Extensis Suitcases to create magazine content for four annual travel magazines and an annual retirement magazine.

• Solely designed and did layout for an entire issue of both our corporate travel magazine and our retirement magazine with only a moderate amount of input by the art director.

• Learned new skills with every project undertaken, developing a comprehensive understanding of the publishing process.

• Streamlined existing production procedures, creating a more efficient and less costly system.
