Intranet Web Developer - Mountain View
This position is located in Mountain View, CA.
Do you love to make order out of chaos? Google is seeking a new member
of our intranet development team to help build and maintain Google's
ever-growing intranet, the ultimate resource for finding information
within Google.
Your job will be to design and build central intranet resources and templates,
improve the intranet's organization, and communicate with people across
Google who contribute content to the intranet. You will also work with
engineering teams on Web-based internal tools and help individual departments
with site design and Web-based projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in information architecture, Web development,
and/or Web design.
- UI design interest/experience, particularly in organizing information.
- Technical background:
- Expert HTML and CSS skills.
- Cross-browser and cross-platform design and testing experience.
- Strong scripting skills, including Perl/CGI, PHP, and/or Javascript.
- Experience with developing/implementing page templates.
- MySQL or other database experience.
- LDAP/log-in systems experience a plus.
- Comfort with version control systems.
- Must be well organized and good at working with others, with experience
in communicating across groups.
- Demonstrated portfolio of work required.
