Position based in Mountain View, CA or New York, NY.

The Industry Analytics Manager will be responsible for research initiatives in support of Google's North American sales and operations. The role will include working with global research firms and other suppliers, managing quantitative and qualitative studies, responding to requests for research, and collecting and presenting data and analysis to address key business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Source and create research and analysis to support sales efforts, working closely with the Sales organization and Industry Marketing group.
  • Package research and value added services to provide corporations and agencies with valuable insights for their marketing plans.
  • Compile and interpret competitive and industry data.
  • Work with 3rd party research vendors.
  • Develop in-depth case studies, which showcase Google's advertising solutions.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have 4+ years of B2B/B2C research experience related to online and/or offline advertising media.
  • A plus if you have expertise in research related to advertising agencies, automotive, consumer packaged goods, entertainment, financial services, healthcare, local, retail, tech B2B, tech commerce, telecom, or travel.
  • Track record of successfully supporting sales initiatives through analysis and presentation of marketing data.
  • Experience planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting data from both qualitative and quantitative primary research studies. Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, using research to address business needs and making actionable recommendations based on research findings.
  • Ability to analyze research data and translate raw information into actionable insights so that it can be easily understood and utilized by the entire organization. This includes competitive/industry analyst reports as well as third-party audience research such as Nielsen/NetRatings and comScore Media Metrix.
  • Strong passion and understanding of search, online advertising, ROI analysis and branding measurement. Advertising effectiveness research and traditional marketing mix research experience extremely helpful.
  • Proven history of self-direction, creativity, excellent organizational skills, capability handling multiple mission critical projects simultaneously and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to meetings and between Mountain View and New York (10%).
