Books I’ve written range from Julia “Butterfly” Hill’s national best-seller The Legacy of Luna (Harper San Francisco, 2000) to Surviving a Stalker: Everything You Need to Know to Keep Yourself Safe (Marlowe & Company, 2000). I’m currently working on Vidal Sassoon’s memoirs.
Books I’ve edited and re-written include Power Healing by John Gray protégé Zhi Gang Sha and Master Mind (working title to be published by Touchstone Fireside) by famed mentalist and on- and off-Broadway performer Marc Salem.
In my capacity of writing coach, I’ve:
* Doctored a Harvard psychology lecturer’s book proposal on girls and depression, adding organization, cohesiveness, narrative tone, human interest and humor where applicable. My role subsequently escalated to that of editor and writing coach, helping the author get a handle—and a start—on her book.
* Helped editor-extraordinaire Jim Bellows with his irreverent memoir The Last Editor: How I Saved the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2002).
* Woven together, grafted and then pruned two separate drafts of a self-help book into a cohesive manuscript, providing the material with both logical progression and narrative thrust.
* Created the detailed outline for a book about color giant Pantone Corporation. I’m now working with the author in a coaching, editing and writing capacity.
