Front-End Engineer – Yahoo! Personals
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
The Yahoo! Personals team is looking for a web developer dynamo well versed in tableless HTML/CSS based layouts, DHTML/AJAX, and PHP. You are a pixel-perfect developer, and enjoy bringing mocks and UI designs to life. You'll work closely with software engineers, interaction designers, visual designers, user experience researchers, marketers, and product managers to complete work on a high profile site that gets more than 20 million hits per day.
Requirements and Skills
3+ years of web development experience
2+ years of CSS (at least 1-2 years of which should be creating
2+ tableless based layouts) years of PHP years of DHTML
1+ years of any flavor of Unix
Experience with cross browser compatibility and optimization.
Bonuses for being experienced in:
Building sites with i18n and l10n in mind, Apache, Unix, CVS, Device-portability techniques, server administration, design patterns, OOP
A BA/BS in Computer Science is preferred.
