Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Family Service Training and Resource Manager, the Family Service Training and Resource Specialist provides training and quality assurance for staff on computer databases, client services, and general Department protocols. Each Family Service Training and Resource Specialist will be assigned to coordinate and train one Family Service unit. This position has an emphasis in Program Quality Assurance and supporting the mission of CCSF through outreach and advocacy activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Provides orientation and training of Family Services staff.
§ Provides ongoing maintenance and quality assurance of databases.
§ In collaboration with MIS, troubleshoots data entry and systems requests for databases.
§ Generates statistical reports.
§ Provides ongoing training to staff on effective communication, services to clients, and program procedures in collaboration with Department Managers.
§ Creates and translates or facilitates translation of Family Services materials, handouts, and curricula for Family Services workshops into non-English languages.
§ Develops and schedules Family Service Department workshops.
§ Coordinates with Program Managers to complete random data entry accuracy, case file review, audits and on-the-spot training.
§ Works in collaboration with Program Managers to facilitate Technical Assistance trainings and other relevant meetings to provide updates and training on Program changes and developments.
§ Maintains a database of problems and requests.
§ Maintains a Training database.
§ Develops and produces program forms; and other program materials as requested.
§ Maintains and updates training materials and manuals as necessary.
§ Updates provider profiles in database.
§ Acts as substitute for Family Service Specialists as needed.
§ Conduct intake interviews, evaluates eligibility, counsels and assists families with child care subsidies.
§ Provides ongoing support, follow up, communication and resources to families and providers in caseload.
§ Provides Choosing Child Care Workshops to employee of CBOs, Corporations and City Agencies,
§ Represent the agency at-and-reports on-appropriate Outreach Activities.
§ Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - Required:
§ High School diploma and minimum three (3) years experience in human services or child development.
§ Highly developed written and verbal skills.
§ Demonstrated computer competency in various computer applications and database systems.
§ Highly sophisticated organizational skills; ability to multi-task with ease.
§ Ability to train others individually and in groups.
§ Ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively with a diverse clientele.
§ Strong ability and high degree of comfort with public speaking/community outreach.
§ Commitment to social justice, family empowerment, and diversity.
§ Knowledge of San Francisco community resources and Child Development Programs.
§ Occasional evening and weekend work .

QUALIFICATIONS – Preferred:
§ BA/BS in Human Services, Child Development, Sociology or related field and at least six (6) months experience working in human services or child development.
§ OR, AA in Human Services, Child Development, Sociology or related field, and minimum of two (2) years experience working in human services or child development.
§ Bilingual in English/Spanish, Cantonese, Russian or other languages spoken by agency clients.
§ Familiarity with community resources.
§ Experience in training and methodology.

SALARY:
· Staff Level 4, Step 1, $30,818 (Bilingual Rate, $31,742)
· 37.5 hours/week.
· Exempt/Union Member

This position is grant funded, and its continuation is based on the continuation of funding.
