SUMMARY:
To develop, and sustain, system solutions for F5 Networks SSL VPN-based remote access security product, FirePass.

DUTIES:
Will perform on a sustaining engineering team responsible for creating maintenance releases, resolving technical issues and bugs reported by customers, and developing customer fixes and features. Maintain core features on both core appliance product and Windows client code. Assist in reproducing features reported by the field and qualifying customer fixes developed. Work closely with team members and the support team to quickly diagnose and resolve problems. Communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor degree in computer/engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
-5+ years professional experience Linux/UNIX environment.
-Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and layer 7 protocols.
-C/C++ as well as other languages, such as PHP.
-Knowledge of underlying web technologies including HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript.
-Knowledge of networking products such as routers, firewalls, Windows and/or Linux/UNIX servers.
-Windows application/systems experience a plus.
-Ability to rapidly pick up new technologies.
-Conveys thoughts clearly in both written and verbal communications.
-Proven ability to deliver products with highest quality and on time.
-Demonstrable appreciation for user experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, and may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
