To Whom It May Concern:
Hello, I am applying for the position of Executive Assistant/ Legal Secretary. I bring a unique blend of talents to this position that address not only the more traditional administrative skills that require detail oriented attention to complex work assignments but also the ability to grasp and implement new concepts and business processes. With a rock solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, and specifically in Word/PowerPoint and Excel I have created multiple integrated presentations that cross the disciplines of law, financial management, marketing and accounting.
A review of my resume will note that I have worked with multiple levels of personnel from the “C” level executive to lawyers, and financial managers. I am thus able to grasp the sometime arcane concepts that are unique to these professions as well as “juggle” and prioritize the high demands that these individuals require for professional presentations and reports.
One area that is sometimes overlooked is that of creativity. My early exposure to art, and photography plus some of the more unusual jobs that I have held, enable me to develop presentations that have certain flair. While business is measured on a return on investment, more companies are coming to understand that both creative form, design and substance add to the bottom line and a professionally prepared presentation can be the difference in a competitive environment. Industry has come to recognize that good design sells, and that a professional presentation with a little creative flair makes a company stand out. With skills in Photoshop and Illustrator, I am able to interpret the requirements of managers and add a dimension of design to reports and presentations that enhance the look and feel of the finished product.
My background includes experience in the creative, financial, legal and consulting fields. Without question, the skills that I bring to this position are more than the sum of its parts.
