Everdream seeks a Principal Application Developer to contribute to the design and implementation of our current and next-generation applications, bringing new perspectives to the projects. We prefer a candidate with extensive experience in the desktop management space, E-Commerce or CRM/ERP spaces who has been a technical lead or principal contributor to a successful product development effort.
Job responsibilities
Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation for hosted web-based applications in a high transaction, multi-tier environment.
Mentor and act as a go-to person for less experienced developers
Be responsible for the predictable delivery of high quality software releases to aggressive schedules.
Required competencies
At least eight years software development experience; at least five years as a principal contributor to web-based applications.
Familiarity with cross-cutting concerns such as application security, performance, scalability, maintainability and supportability.
Proven experience assisting with the development of use cases, and translating requirements into intuitive, easy to use web applications.
Ability to rapidly implement high quality applications with strong attention to detail and corner cases covered first time; comfortable working within an agile development process including disciplines such as unit testing, continuous integration etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical issues.
Required technical skills and experience
Expert-level hands-on knowledge of ASP, ASP.NET, C#, IIS, SQL Server based applications in a Microsoft environment. J2EE knowledge and experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement for exceptional candidates with highly relevant business experience.
In-depth knowledge of database concerns, especially performance.
Strong web development experience; familiarity with AJAX-related technologies and appropriate web standards, XML, HTTP and scripting languages, and hand-tuning web applications for high performance.
Ability to independently develop easy to use, intuitive user interfaces.
Familiarity working with metadata-drive application frameworks to implement application functionality such as reporting and charting, permissions management, searching, e-mail notifications, approvals, assignments etc.
Ability to rapidly master new skills, technologies, languages and frameworks.
Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills and knowledge of common application-level design patterns, with working knowledge of UML.
Intricate knowledge of web application security concerns.
