Intellect...creativity...humor are at my core. Education and my engineering career are very important to me, and I have had immense determination and perseverance to succeed. Though at 35 (never married, no kids, but looking forward to both experiences), having reached many goals, now I strive towards balance, integrity, and being open to sharing my life.
Born in the USSR, grew up in Philly. As an active world traveler, exploring as much as I can, I've been to over 50 countries, both business and pleasure, alone and on tours. Favorite travel and life experiences: architectural tour of the Sydney Opera House, helicopter tour of Maui, beginning scuba in Bora Bora, performing my music and touching people with it, horseback riding in Belize jungle, hanggliding in Rio, tango in Buenos Aires, taking improv comedy workshops, bungee jumping on the Jersey coast, first kisses, feeling the aura of Machu Picchu and Jerusalem...
I've been described as intense yet mellow, optimistic yet realistic, very affectionate, an excellent listener (but a losuy singer), supportive, pretty open w/feelings, introspective, honest. I'm very curious with a thirst for learning and adventure. I'm atheist, don't smoke, don't drink to get drunk and can have fun without alcohol, nor am much of a TV sports fan. My sassy lil' sis and I were raised by Russian Jewish parents (together 36 years); I share their views on loyalty and faithfulness.
A big passion is the piano music I play and compose...when you hear it, you know what's inside my heart. Then of course is my passion for dancing - for 6 years I've been hooked. My favorite is salsa/latin, but I also do some social waltz, swing/lindy/blues, ballroom, and a little Argentine tango, and I've got a weakness for flamenco. I enjoy exploring restaurants, theater/musicals, rhyming poetry, NPR, bright colors, architecture, beauty of San Francisco, board games, ping-pong, watching a (foreign) film (especially under a warm blanket) that makes you think/feel.
Still with me? I enjoy making friends and learning from all kinds of people, though ultimately I envision sharing my life with one partner. This is how I'd imagined you: Your joie de vivre is apparent in your frequent use of your smile, your intellect, and your heart. People might find you expressive, outgoing, loyal. You are from a European heritage or background, and are around 30 (give or take a few years). Successful in your field, you are passionate about something in your life and know the value of a dollar. You have a playful side (the thought of pianist envy makes you chuckle :), a sense of humor (means you laugh at my jokes :), and are optimistic (the optimist thinks the glass is half full, the pessimist - half empty, and the engineer thinks the glass is twice as big as necessary :)
You love travel, new experiences, and learning, because we will go to many interesting places. You're not into drugs nor religion. You enjoy cultural events, take pride in your appearance and your style (a colorful scarf always turns my head), but enjoy time at home as well, whether cooking together (I'll be the sous chef), decorating my townhouse (I'd love your advice), or relaxing in front of the fireplace (I go for burning log over Burning Man). And you are in a good place in your life to start a healthy relationship.
