We are seeking dynamic Elementary (K/1, 2/3 and 4/5) and Middle School (6/7) teachers for our Bay Area schools. These teachers will provide a high quality, personalized education program for our students in operating their own exemplary classroom while also providing mentorship, guidance and support to other educators at the school sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operates an exemplary classroom that includes sound classroom management practices and engaging lessons, and that produces above-average academic results
2. Coaches other teachers at his/her grade level and in the school to improve implementation of Aspire Instructional Guidelines and Best Practices and increase student academic results, including conducting classroom observations, hosting model lessons, holding mini-workshops, assisting with assessments, and sharing written materials and techniques
3. Leads grade level team in examining student work and instructional practices
4. Leads professional development activities for entire school
5. Participates in leadership activities at the school and Aspire-wide, including serving on the hiring committee, Advisory School Council, etc.
6. Actively participate in Aspire-wide and cluster-wide Lead Teacher meetings; provide constructive feedback to Aspire Home Office; and share best practices developed at the site
7. Act as Teacher-in-Charge when Site Principal is absent, as requested
8. Works with Site Principal to identify and prioritize resources and support needed at the school, including professional development, capital investment, and materials
9. Serves as liason for parents, colleagues and principal as needed
10. Provides students and their families with regular and timely information on classroom activities and student progress; finds ways to involve parents/guardians in their students’ education
11. Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
12. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Ability to achieve extraordinary academic results for students
• Ability to inspire confidence and trust from parents and colleagues
• Expert knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles, California State Standards, subject-specific frameworks, assessments, and Aspire Instructional Guidelines and Best Practices
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data, identify challenges, and suggest solutions
• Knowledge of adult learning; patience; diplomacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization skills, including time management and follow-up
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Can-do attitude
2) Minimum educational level:
• Bachelors degree
• Valid California Teaching Credential
3) Experience preferred:
• 1+ year as a classroom teacher
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Bachelors degree
