I am looking for an electrical integration and/or installation design position within the aerospace, ground transportation, military vehicle, or other inidustries.
Before opting for early retirement from my position in Aircraft Engineering with United Airlines, I had the opportunity to lead and to be involved in a variety of complex electrical and electronic systems installations. While working in the Boeing 727/737 Fleet Engineering Group, I designed the integration and installation package for the Traffic Alert Collision Avoidance System, the Windshear installation upgrade for the Ground Proximity Warning System, and the B727 Aircraft Communications And Reporting System upgrade for European operation. As a member of the B767 Fleet Group, I was a key contributor to and coordinator of a portion of the integration and installation design of the Interactive Entertainment System for the B747, B767, and B777 aircraft. I also upgraded and streamlined the Personal Video System Installation for the B767-200 aircraft, and was instrumental in the B767-300 cabin reconfiguration and entertainment system upgrade.
Additionally, I was a contributing member of the Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy program. This program was under the auspices of National Aeronautic and Space Administration, European Space Agency, and University Space Research Association. I participated in the airplane modification and installation design of an infrared telescope on a Boeing B747SP aircraft. I was instrumental in the selection of a Flight Management System for the aircraft and was a contributing member of the Science Instrument Airworthiness Working Group. Further responsibilities included review and co-approval of various electrical and electronic system technical documents and ICDs for the project. I was responsible for review and approval of all SOFIA wiring diagrams. Simultaneously, I managed the update of the Boeing Electrical Load Analysis for this aircraft, incorporating all electrical load changes between the delivery of the aircraft from Boeing and the beginning of the SOFIA modification.
