Objective
Seeking a challenging and rewarding job as an Electrical Engineer.
Qualification
Pay attention on details, but not to get hung up on them. Work hard to identify the root cause of the problem instead of quick fixing. Have strong motivation to look for new ideas. Love challenge, enjoy working in teams and have excellent communication skills.
Tools
Software: ADS, AutoCAD, Hspice, Pspice, OrCAD, C, 8051 Assembly, Matlab, Cadence and Tornado.
Instruments: Used various electronics laboratory testing instruments such as oscilloscope, network analyzer,
and Spectrum analyzer.

Experience
East China Normal University 1/2004—6/2004
Research Assistant, RF and Microwave Circuit Design
Worked in a research team environment to explore new application of RF Circuit. To explore the possibility of using the microstrip line idea to shrink the sizes into micro scale to deliver long distance high quality wireless signal in small hand held device. Designed a band-pass filter using EDA software: Advanced Design System. This 5-level Chebyshev band-pass filter used microstrip material with er=2.2. It had a central frequency of 3GHz and a bandwidth of 400MHz. After finishing the design work, layout the circuit onto the microstrip board and manufactured it by hand. Network analyzer was used to verify the functionality and the performance of the filter.
Shanghai Aerospace Institute 7/2003 - 12/2003
Design Engineer, RF and Microwave Circuit Design
Worked in RF/Microwave circuit design department of 30 engineers. Designed two microstrip band-pass filters, which were used in wireless communication systems. These two filters had central frequencies of 2.25GHz and 9GHz, bandwidth of 500MHz. After meeting the requirements of central frequency and bandwidth, kept on adjusting the width and length of each microstrip line to meet the requirement of exceeding 30dB loss at 2.6GHz and 9.35GHz. Used AutoCAD to layout the microstrip line.
Siemens Mobile Communications Ltd. 1/2003 - 6/2003
Intern, 3G Wireless Network Planning
Worked in wireless network department to understand the theory of wireless communication and to explore the new strategy of radio planning in next generation of wireless communication. Investigated the theory behind 3G/WCDMA in terms of link budget and user capacity. Implemented all these theories into the real network planning of a China city: Dalian. Siemens’s special planning software TORNADO was used for simulating and optimizing the result.
Projects
Microstrip Antenna Design & Simulation
Designed and simulated a Microstrip Antenna with single-feed and circular polarization by using ADS. This ring antenna was fed by a 50-W feed line embedded in the middle of a 62 mil substrate with dielectric constant equaled to 2.2. A four-element array with sequential rotation was designed and simulated to increase the AR bandwidth.
Band pass Filter Design
Designed two Microstrip band pass filters used in RF/Microwave communications systems with central frequency at 2.25GHZ and 9GHz and a bandwidth of 500MHz using ADS. Performed design, simulation, layout, optimization and troubleshooting of these two circuits and manufactured the real circuit boards after finishing the design work. Used network analyzer to test the circuit performance.
CMOS Op-Amp Design
Designed and simulated an Op-Amp using 0.18-micron CMOS fabrication process against a written specification. Designed a 400uA current reference for the Op-Amp input based on bandgap voltage reference. HSPICE was used to run circuit simulation and to verify the Op-Amp with 60dB open-loop gain and 60o phase margin.
CMOS VLSI Design
Designed a 500MHz Phase Lock frequency Synthesizer in 0.5um CMOS fabrication process. The PLL circuit consisted a Phase Frequency Detector, a Charge pump and a Voltage Control Oscillator design. Magic was used for layout checking of the circuit and HSPICE was used for simulation and verification.
Wireless Network Planning
Made a network planning of WCDMA system. The network was designed to satisfy both the wireless user capacity and the wireless coverage of the city. Used Siemens’s special software Tornado to calculate the required numbers of the base stations and to simulate and optimize the results.
