Truck Driver Trainee

Veritable Vegetable is a dynamic women-owned and operated company, dedicated to social justice and sustainable agriculture. Our business is distribution of organic fresh fruits and vegetables, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are committed to providing opportunities for women in the workplace.
We currently have training positions for Local and “Over The Road” Class A Truck Drivers. The job entails delivery of Organic Produce to stores and restaurants and pick-up of Organic Produce at local farms in the greater Bay Area and the South West. We will train the right candidates to drive; we will help the right candidates acquire a Class C Driver license and train them up to Class A tractor trailer drivers.
We are looking for cooperative, flexible individuals who are meticulous, efficient, and able to work both independently and as team members. Basic math and good communication skills required. Produce experience, forklift, and computer skills are a plus. The job involves lifting up to 50 lbs and working in cold coolers.
