Director of preschool & after school care (Albany)
AB Children Center
AB Children Center seeks a competent program director. The director must plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and evaluate preschool, kindergarten and after school programs. Provide staff development, parent education and involvement, and instructional support; select, supervise train and discipline staff, develop and manage child care, communicate with staff and community; develop and maintain a positive school climate, high staff morale and healthy human relationships.
Responsibilities include
· Reviews and monitors licensing and certification requirements.
· Develops, plans and market operations of child programs.
· Schedules and monitors activities.
· Acts as a liaison between parents and staff.
· Provides regular communications to parents.
· Coordinates conferences with parents; plan and conduct parent meetings such as open house and organize celebrations.
· Performs duties including substituting for absent teachers.
· Responsible for students and staff during operational hours of programs.
· Ensure safety and welfare of students.
· Implements student discipline system.
· Work with teachers to enrich all programs.
· Plans and develops staff development for child development and child care programs for teachers.
· Prepares monthly report and collects tuition payment.
· Responsible to arrange and pick up children with school vans.
· Salary plus benefits, two-year experience is required.
