director of ee:

The Director of EE will be responsible for managing electrical engineering development, managing all electrical engineers and coordinating the efforts of the EE group with the rest of the company. The EE director will report to the Vice President of Engineering.

responsibilities:

-Manage and grow a team of electrical engineers developing multiple computing devices.
-Oversee formal production releases
-Work with engineering program managers to keep EE schedules synchronized with overall product schedules
-Maintain and drive meta-engineer design aspects such as power-budgets, interface specs and regulatory requirements for products
-Provide vision and support to manufacturing test development
Represent electrical engineering in strategic vendor relationships and to OQO executive team
-Participate as a technical contributor to help resolve hard problems as they arise
-Inspire EE superstars to join your team
requirements
-6 years electrical engineering experience
-4 years managing electrical engineering teams of at least 5 engineers
-Must actually understand analog and digital electronics
Versed in EE development cycles
-Committed to integrating DFM anf DFT into all stages of EE design
Facility with both NPI and ongoing product upgrades.
-Direct experience or knowledge in laptops, pdas, and/or cell industries preferred
