We are selling our solid walnut dining room table with 6 matching chairs - 2 captains chairs and 4 regular chairs. The table measures 4 feet round and when you add the 2 leaves(9inches each) it makes an oval that comfortable seats 6 people, although we have easily sat 8 people for a cozier dinner.
My husband bought this dining room set 30 years ago from Praetzel's Fine Furniture in Petaluma for $1000. Of course back then the store was called Ranch Storehouse. Just to give you an idea on prices he bought his first house the same year for $30,000. This was a high end furniture purchase and the reason this table is still in good condition. The table top has a hard finish and is in excellent condition. There are a couple of places on the side of the table where it has been rubbed and a few of the wood plugs that cover screws in the chairs are missing. a couple of the chairs have some scratching on them. Let's face it - this is a used table. However I will tell you it is worth coming to look at.
