Uhuru Furniture needs your creative skills! We get donations of furniture EVERY DAY and one of the best ways to sell it is...........you guessed it! RIGHT HERE on Craigslist.
The problem is, we are so busy buzzing with customers, that we need volunteers to come in for a few hours a week and photograph our great merchandise and post it up on Craigslist with a creative description so that the Greater Bay Area can have the in on Oakland's best kept secret.
Uhuru Furniture is a fundraiser for the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF).
Our Mission: APEDF strives to develop and institutionalize programs to defend the human and civil rights of the African community and to address the grave disparities in education, health, health care and economic development in the African community.
Hours are flexible! Training provided! This is a fun way to meet people and make a difference in the community.
