Dear Sir or Madam,

I am pleased to submit my application for teaching positions. I am looking forward to this challenging position and feel well prepared for the challenges ahead. The enthusiasm and energy that I exhibit everyday is evident in my teaching style and will play an intricate role in my student’s improvement and success.

“You have a very winning way with students and a bit of theatrical talent. Students really respond to your sense of humor,” stated my Dominican University student teaching supervisor. I have always been passionate about working with children and have constantly found myself wanting to make a difference in a child’s life. Working in after school programs, doing community service projects, babysitting, teaching abroad, and coaching tennis have really given me the experience that I need to become a skillful leader and teacher. Over the years I have acquired the skills needed to become a good teacher, a positive attitude, patience, kindness, organization, heart and most of all the willingness to devote my life to shaping the lives of children. My humble attitude and ability to take criticism constructively are very important for my professional development. A never say die attitude and my constant enthusiasm will keep me to excel in the education field for years to come.

My goal as your teacher is to create an environment for learning that is challenging and forces students to think critically. Guiding these students on a learning adventure and providing a safe and nurturing environment will be my primary goal. The world is full of bright colors, numbers, letters, sights, and sounds waiting to be explored by our little adventurers. Enjoying learning is a big part of my philosophy and I will do my best to make sure children are academically challenged and motivated to succeed. My respect for young children will help create an atmosphere of caring, delight; wonder and excitement that will help your school become a stimulating place where children as well as my career can flourish. Thank you for your time and consideration of my application. I will be available for an interview at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Daniel H. Ballesteros
