Summary of Duties:
We are seeking Desktop Support for StubHubs internal computer systems. You will work as part of the IT Team and will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing systems, training and supporting staff, and planning for and implementing new technology.
You will interact with all parts of StubHubs staff to insure that the organizations information technology needs are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to incoming requests for technical assistance and provide rapid, customer-service oriented desktop support
Install, maintain, and upgrade software and hardware including desktop PCs, laptops, BlackBerry handhelds and projection devices
Efficiently isolate and assess the potential causes of technical problems
Document detailed but concise troubleshooting procedures and technical solutions for the IT team knowledge base
Propose suggestions to improve systems infrastructure and procedures
Plan and organize PC service improvements, disk imaging and delivery, and technical management processes
Evaluate new hardware and software
Participate in emergency pager rotation for desktop support issues
Be part of a team responsible for supporting data backup and recovery
Skills and Abilities Needed:
BS/BA, preferably in a technical discipline
At least 2-3 years in IT professional services with emphasis on Microsoft technologies
Working knowledge and recent hands on experience with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003, XP, and Mac OS X operating systems
Basic MS Exchange Administration experience desirable
Basic NorTel phone system experience desirable
