DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST (w/min 2 yrs exp)
Young and Rubicam Advertising in San Francisco, part of the WPP family, is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist with 2+ years working experience.
Description:
Seeking an energetic and motivated Desktop Support Specialist that can multitask in a fast-paced environment supporting both MAC and PC’s. He/She should be extremely knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of products and familiar with Mac OS X and graphic software such as the Adobe Creative Suite. He\She will report to the IT Manager and work closely with end-users in solving a multitude of issues and implementing new technologies to enhance their roles while increasing overall productivity of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Support, configure, upgrade and maintain the following:
• PowerBook and G5 Workstations running OS 9 and X (Panther/Tiger)
• IBM Compatible Laptop and Workstations running Windows XP & Office 2003
• Familiar with Active Directory (adding and removing users)
• Strong understanding of network protocols
• Configuration of various network devices such as printers
• Setup of Conferences (Video and Web)
Requirements:
• 2-years desktop support experience
• Strong understanding of Windows Environment
• Be able to communicate well with clients (end-users)
• Be able to handle pressure and tight deadlines
• Be able to work independently
• Acute attention to detail while taking pride in your work
• Customer satisfaction
• A desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities
