Citizen Canine, a deluxe dog hotel and daycare, near the Oakland Airport is looking for a Part-Time Customer Service/Front Desk Person. The position calls for someone who not only loves dogs but so much more. We are the Bay Area’s first five star kennel and have been labeled the “Ritz Carlton of dog hotels” by KRON 4 TV.
The ideal candidate would meet the following requests:
• Be able to multi-task- the phone will be ringing, guests will be checking in and out, there may be an emergency, someone may call in sick, the list goes on and on. Are you up for organized chaos on a daily basis?
• Be polite and courteous during all interactions with guests and staff, whether over the phone or in person. We hold ourselves to a high level of customer service and expect everyone on staff to do the same.
• The position is part-time right now (3-4 shifts per week totaling 24 hours) but the ideal candidate will be able to be full-time over the summer. Perhaps a student? Availability from 7am until 8pm for a variety of shifts. Weekends and holidays are required- not much flexibility on this point.
• A good sense of humor- we take our jobs seriously but also know we have the honor of hanging out with doggies all day. And that is just plain fun!
• You must be familiar with computers as there is a lot of use everyday- we can train you to use the software but you have to know the basics. We utilize Word, Excel and Outlook daily as well as a kennel specific software program.
• You must be punctual, reliable and able to handle large, strong dogs and some heavy lifting.
