The title sums up what I think of Craigslist personals. I’m not just talking about the high expectations and the “MENSA bunch seeking same.” Seriously, I’m starting to understand why there are so many single people in this area. Whatever happened to finding someone for who you are, not who you want to be? I understand that attraction is important, but please realize that physical looks are only part of the equation. I’m sure most of you have dated someone whom you later thought, “I can’t believe I dated him…...he wasn’t even attractive.” Yes, love is deaf, dumb and blind. Why not go for someone whom you actually have things in common with? You have to be friends before anything else. Ever hear of a good foundation? We live in a superficial society where the media bestows upon us its distorted view of happiness. It’s about time that we re-define and recapture what is important. It is time to be honest about who we are.
btw…I’m not at all bitter….I just want the world to be a better place for all of us.
