Position
Description:
The Claims Representative Trainee has the responsibility to investigate vehicle
accidents. This is an entry level position, responsibilities include investigation of
the accident site,inspecting and estimating damages to vehicles, taking statements from drivers
and passengers, researching police reports, evaluating bodily injury cases and
analyzing liability. The Claims Representative trainee spends significant time
out of the office. A company vehicle is provided for all work outside of the
office.
Once hired, Claims Representative Trainees spend two, two-week periods of time at Progressive
training locations. These locations are in Cleveland, OH, Tampa, FL, Albany, NY, and
Phoenix, AZ. All expenses are paid by the company. Progressive invests

Multiple promotion opportunities are available after successful tenure as a claims representative
trainee. These opportunities include positions in Management, as a Special
Investigator, Fire and Casualty Investigator, Casualty Specialist, Team Leader,
Property Damage Estimator or just about any job Progressive Insurance as to
offer – opportunities abound.

Qualified
candidates possess:
Bachelor's
degree OR a minimum of 5 years combined relevant work experience
and/or postsecondary education required. Relevant work experience includes
claims/property damage adjuster, auto, or repair/body shop experience OR a
position requiring critical thinking, problem solving, planning/organizing
activities, customer service, negotiating, effective written/verbal
communication and embracing new challenges.
Ability
to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends.
Valid
driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Strong Customer Service Orientation.
Attention to detail.
Good computer skills.
