CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAFTER/TECHNICIAN
Established Civil Engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineering Drafter/Technician to join our Napa office.
Position responsibilities could include but are not limited to assisting the design engineers in generating improvement plan drawings, reports and supporting documentation.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following activities: drafting of project improvement plans for grading, drainage, septic system, erosion control, vineyard development and other related land development projects as well as technical and non-technical office tasks.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a team approach. Independent thinking and a willingness and ability to take on roles of increasing responsibility are critical.
The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High math and computer aptitude
• An ability to work on multiple jobs simultaneously and plan and prioritize job tasks within specified time frames using independent judgment
• An ability to create a professional impression commanding attention, respect, confidence and diplomacy with clients, co-workers, contractors and vendors
• Problem-solving skills that include creativity, analyzation and innovation and have the capacity to identify, evaluate and assimilate information
• An ability to work under pressure and be self-directed with sound business judgment.
Expertise in AutoCAD 2004 and Land Development Desktop is required; 3-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience is a plus.
