The Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County(4Cs) is currently accepting applications for a Resource Specialist position. It is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm.
4Cs operates one infant/toddler center, three state preschools and seven child development centers that are located in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Cotati, Petaluma and Sonoma. The bulk of this person’s work time will be spent in the centers, assisting with curriculum development, training staff, working with staff to develop individual plans for children, meeting with parents and presenting at parent meetings, etc.
Duties in the agency office, which is located in Santa Rosa, will include participation in committees; purchasing for and otherwise supporting the resource library; acting as a liaison with other agencies regarding such issues as dental, vision and hearing screenings and Raising a Reader programs; supervision of substitutes and maintenance of the substitute list.
Qualifications:
1. At a minimum, a CD Permit at the Associate Teacher level or equivalent. A CD Permit at the Master Teacher level or equivalent is strongly desired.
2. An ability to build trust and to establish positive, growth-producing relationships with the center staff members.
3. A proven ability to present effectively on various subjects related to ECE to large groups of adults.
4. Center-based preschool and/or infant/toddler teaching experience.
5. Bi-lingual Spanish/English (desired).
