• Overall General Ledger responsibility (SAP General Ledger system)
• Financial Statement preparation and recording of Financials in
compliance with acceptable standard accounting practices.
• Controls and maintains Fixed Asset system (SAP), construction in
progress, capitalization, and related reporting.
• Responsible for Business and Personal Property tax preparation and
filings
• Bank Reconciliations
• Supervision of audits from Unions (AFTRA, NABET); Music Licensors
(ASCAP, BMI); internal or external auditors.
• Prepares Commission Statements for National Sales Rep firm, and
reviews for Local Account Executives.
• Understands, supports and trains and fills in for the Accounts Payable
(SAP), Accounts Receivable (Marketron) and Payroll (SAP) managers
when and as needed.
• Special projects as assigned and needed from time to time.
• Knowledgeable about payroll and labor regulations, and company
benefits and their interpretation
Must fully understand the basics of accounting and be able to create journal entries for revenues, receivables, cash and accruals at month-end. Must be computer savvy with G/L, Fixed Asset, A/P and A/R systems. Proficiency in SAP or Great Plains, Excel, Word, and e-mail with attachments is essential.
Position involves working in a busy, three-radio station environment.
Effective supervision skills are necessary.
Willing to train the right candidate from another industry IF they possess the required professional skills and experience.
Business or Accounting degree required, with 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience. Must work well under pressure and deadlines, and be organized, detail oriented, able to prioritize and a team player. Speed and accuracy a must in this high volume environment. Willing to work flexible hours, and able to work extended lengths of time doing extensive computer input. Must be a pro-active self-starter, who works with a minimum of supervision.
This is a full-time, Exempt position with excellent benefits. Salary commensurate with skills and experience. Position available immediately.
