I attended four semesters at Harvard University in Cambridge Mass, later moving to the islands, and received a B.A. in Business from from the University of Hawaii.

EXPERIENCE:
The Palace Restaurant-Santa Fe, NM
The Palace enjoys a one hundred year old tradition, fromits humble beginnings as the first bar in Santa Fe. As a Four Star restaurant blending Mediterranean and exotic local dishes to achieve a unique dining experience, I was responsible for food and labor costs. My constant attention was given to outstanding plate presentation.
Restaurant DI Ragazzi-Princeville, HI
I opened this extremely popular 90 seat restaurant, sering a blend of Tuscany and classic Italian food. Our menu featured many fine Italian dishes. My responsibilities as chef were catering, designing a menu, hiring and training all kitchen staff, as well as tracking all labor and food cost.

Utilizing my success at the Valhalla, and an abundance of of business contacts with Mr. McCord, Boyan and McCord Consultants was launched in 1987, specializing in restaurant and bar education, control sheets, menu design, concept innovation, human resources, equipment acquisition, bar and kitchen design and management.
Sally Stanford's Valhalla-Sausalito, CA
I am proud to have worked as chef for the notorious Sally Stanford's, introducing a new much acclaimed california nouvelle cuisine menu, and a gourmet Sunday Creole Brunch. Only the passing of Ms. Stanford ended my tenure at the renowned restaurant.
Le Bic Fin-Philadelphia, PA
After returning from France I had the opportunity to work with George Perrie, the award winning French chef. I received a strong background in both classic and nouvelle French cuisine while attaing my chef certificate.
