The Catering Department of Crow Canyon Country Club is looking for a Part Time Sales Assistant. This is an entry-level position into the event planning industry. Our department focuses on weddings, corporate business, holiday parties and golf tournaments. The position is part time (29 hours a week), with some nights and weekend work required.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
General Administrative Duties (filing, copying, database work, running errands)
Client consultations
On site coordination of events
Assist with on site and off site tradeshows and business mixers
Process paperwork for billing arrangements
Assemble menu packets and direct mailing pieces
Support special projects, research assistance and general prospecting
SKILLS NEEDED:
Previous customer service & sales experience
Knowledge of Catering policies & procedures
Computer literate (Word, Excel & Internet)
Type 50+ WPM
Professional appearance & phone manner
Ability to work independenly & as a team member
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong organizational skills
Outgoing personality and ability to work well under pressure
