Category Manager, Jewelry
Position based in San Jose, CA
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Jewelry Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy to accelerate growth in key areas within the Fine Jewelry category on eBay. The CM will become a fine jewelry expert at eBay - building a deep understanding of the industry, the competitive landscape, the shopping needs and behaviors of jewelry buyers, and eBay''s value proposition for buyers. The CM will work with cross-functional groups to drive category awareness and consideration, recommend and execute product innovations, and develop programs to enhance category trust & safety. In addition, the CM will develop relations and affiliations with key industry associations and third-parties. The CM will report to the Senior Category Manager of Jewelry & Watches.

QUALIFICATIONS
o 6-8 years of work experience (Category Management, Consulting, Marketing, or Investment Banking preferred)
o MBA or equivalent
o Strong analytical skills and knowledge of spreadsheet and database software
o Excellent communication and presentation skills
o Successful track record in cross-functional project management
o Demonstrated competency in developing and executing against business strategies
o Familiarity with eBay site and business
o Knowledge of retail and/or Jewelry industry preferred
o Fun, energetic, flexible personality
