Residential remodeling contractor is looking for a full time carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 or more years of progressively increasing experience in framing and finish carpentry. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as with others, and are expected to have reliable transportation and tools appropriate to the work listed below.
Typical experience must include:
Concrete forming and placement
Rough framing of floors, walls and roofs
Setting of doors, windows and skylights and proper waterproofing details of each
Installation of wood and fiber cement sidings and cedar shingles
Construct basic interior and exterior stairs
Installation of hardwood flooring
Cabinet installation
Interior trim such as base, casings and crown molding
Since we are a remodeling company, any experience in plumbing, electrical, tile, painting and other trades is extremely valuable.
Compensation is based on experience, but we expect will be in the mid $20's per hour. We are looking to start someone in mid March. Most of our work is in the Berkeley / Oakland area.
