We are seeking highly motivated, self starting experienced Linux Software
Engineers to develop communication and security embedded applications in our
Network Appliances working out of our San Francisco or Redwood Shores offices.
Essential Requirements:
- C++ fluency.
- Experience with developing multi-threaded applications.
- Experience with socket programming and tcp/ip protocols.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
- Minimum 5 years relevant software development industry experience.
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent.
Assets:
- Bluetooth Knowledge - Bluez stack and protocols.
- Appreciation of physical RF / wireless characteristics and interference issues.
- Familiarity with Gnu tools and tool chains.
- Appreciation of the layering of network protocols.
- Appreciation of wired and wireless network communications.
- Appreciation of resource and hardware limitations in embedded environments.
- Experience integrating with database packages.
- Knowledge of network security.
- Knowledge of data exchange and control protocols.
Personality Traits:
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Imaginative, energetic and able to work effectively under pressure.
- A good sense of humor is a plus!
