Education Finance Partners (EFP) is a specialty finance company that provides consumer loan programs that bridge the gap between the cost of higher education and federal student aid.

Responsibilities:

The Business Development Associate will be integral to the smooth operation of the day-to-day account management functions, particularly responsible for carrying out tasks designed to meet our lender partner’s needs and increase volume. In this role you will work with the Director, Business Development to grow loyal, long-term business relationships with existing lender partners as well as effectively collaborate with business units to implement new partnerships.

  • Manage all aspects of account management including, lender partner set-up and maintenance activities
  • Ensure that profile data on existing partners and prospects are created and maintained on the CRM platform
  • Enhance and maintain positive and productive working relationships with current and prospective partners to exchange information, resolve issues, and improve relationships.
  • Work closely with the marketing team in the creation and preparation of the marketing and collateral materials for the lender partner
  • Assist the Director, Business Development in supporting the business development strategy for new/potential lender partners
  • Ensure the completion of day-to-day deliverables as well as champion long term focused projects and initiatives

Requirements:

  • 5+ years progressive account management / business development experience in student lending
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven track record of effectively managing client accounts and/or client related projects.
  • Experience in building relationships and demonstrating value
  • Ability to travel to conferences, workshops and client visits.
  • Organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Strong business and industry acumen.
  • Experience with CRM software a plus.
