Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help build homes, no experience is required!
Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is an organization based in Redwood City, whose mission is to help end sub-standard housing among low income families.
We provide low income families the opportunity to own a home by offering them a no interest mortgage, and asking for 500 hours of "sweat equity" as a form of a down payment on a house.
We are able to offer this to families by building the homes with the help of volunteers, and with support from companies, cities, and citizens.
What are we looking for?
Someone with:
>interest in learning construction skills, such as carpentry, drywall, and HVAC
>the ability to volunteer from 8:30-4:15 on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
>interest in working hard, and having a good time with others of a like mind
