OK buddy, Im going to try to help you understand.
Yes I think they are nice cars, not really the point. Ive driven them, just not my thing. The envy you speak of might aply to the 7 and m series but the 320/330 come on your base 4runner costs more.
You brought up a great point however, much of the hate is directed at you because of your over inflated self worth while driving your little sporty car.
Your mention of the suv driving idiot is right on point. Again you pointed out the difference. The suv driver is dangerous because of innatention, only thinking about their own little world. Yes that is just as arrogent and dangerous, but it is passive. The average bmw driver is usually very active in their aggression IE: you know you are being a dickhead. In the end you are both just as dangerous and should be pulled from you car and beat to an inch of your life.
It does not help that you all seem to get a bmw uniform with your car.
Most of you are:
under 5 foot 9
wear leather loafers ( size 7 and smaller)
balding (hey so am I but Im not trying to take it out on the rest of the world)
Have a strange willingness to yell at women (from coffee shops to macys, you assholes can be found screaming at women behind the counter in a way that should be reserved only for other men.) Your anger at them always seems to come down to them not understanding your better than everyone else, and should be treated as such.
Think that other people care, and are jealous of your silly little car.

I wonder if the seperation of the bmw and suv driving idiot is simply your inability to get in the vehicle unaided?
FYI they do make running boards to help you little men get up into suv's
Hey if you happen to be a woman pretty much everything applys and Im sorry for not delving further. Its just that when someone does somthing dangerous enough to risk my life on the road, I thinked they should be smacked. If I see its a woman Ill yell at them(from my car) and drive on. As deserving as they my be, Im not going to threaten a woman that way. Call me sexist, I just wasnt raised to do that.

OK-- first off: how many of you BMW driver-haters have actually ever owned or driven a BMW?
Probably none of you.
Thus, you speak completely out of ignorance.
I have driven Audis, a Porsche, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Lincoln, etc., and I can tell you from firsthand experience that BMWs are simply better than the others. My first BMW was a '97 328i and it was a great car. The 2006 330i, which I just got, is even better.
BMWs are very well made, reliable, safe, comfortable, and perform very well. My BMW also gets over 23mpg and is easier to park than most other vehicles because its length is shorter than the average car.
As for aggressive driving, I see FAR more SUV drivers driving like dickheads and tailgating while drinking lattes or not paying attention while yapping on their cellphone.
For those of you who categorically slag all BMW drivers because of the car that we drive, we can't help but laugh and know in our hearts that you hate us out of sheer envy.
That's the simple truth. And if the truth hurts, then so be it.
