Baby care: trade for Room & Board
We are looking for a warm, kind caregiver to help with our sweet, 15-month-old boy. I am a stay-at-home Mom, but I have some medical issues, so I need help caring for the baby, such as: feeding, changing, bathtime, bedtime, taking to playgrounds, etc. Housekeeping is shared with us, like roommates. Hours and schedule to be discussed, flexible for school and/or work outside the home.
Perfect for an active senior who's not-quite-ready-to-retire or whose grandkids have already grown up too fast! Or for a Marin area college student. Or you'd love to stay in the Bay Area but find it too expensive.
We Provide: Rent, food, utilities, phone, cable, wireless DSL. We live in a new, large, nice 3-bedroom flat, with very large tiled kitchen, central air, commercial washer & dryer. Bedroom opens on to a tile patio. Bedroom access to the bathroom with marble double-sinks, large shower, separate WC, which is mostly yours but is used by visitors to our home. Access to car for occasional personal use a possibility.
Must have: Caring, patient demeanor -- must love children! You tend to be a tidy person. English speaker. No pets, no smoking, no drugs. Must be willing to provide references. CA DMV driving record and background check will be conducted.
Pluses: Your own car and/or cell phone a plus.
Before Moving In: Of course, we should all get to know and like each other first, so we would pay hourly babysitting during a trial period before moving in.
