Volunteers needed to staff the beautiful walk-through Aviary at Coyote Point Museum. Aviary Aides spend 45 minutes hosing off the Aviary walkways before the Museum opens, and then spend 3 hours helping visitors by sharing information, pointing out birds, and monitoring the area. Must enjoy being around children and animals, talking with people, and be at least 18 years old. Training provided. Commitment: 4 hours per week on one regularly scheduled day, starting at 9:00am on a Tuesday-Saturday, or at 11:00am on Sunday, for at least 3 months. Can fulfill college community service requirements.
Overlooking the San Francisco Bay, Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education provides a multi-sensory introduction to the natural history of the Bay Area, wth an Environmental Hall, Wildlife Habitats area housing over 50 live animals, Gardens, and walk-through Aviary.
