Wanted: Auto mechanic with detailed restoration skills.
· Must possess knowledge of muscle and classic cars of the 1960's and 1950's.
· Must be knowledgeable of Steering and Suspension systems, older braking systems, and performing conversion to disc brake systems.
· Must be capable of removing and installing engine and transmissions, tuning engines for optimal performance.
· Must be capable of rebuilding and tuning carburetors ranging from simple two barrels to complex dual quads.
· Must be able to diagnose electrical problems in systems with multiple relays and solenoids. Knowledge of six-volt systems is a plus.
· Must be capable of disassembling and reassembling interiors as well as exterior trim.
· Must be capable of thinking out of the box. With many of these cars, parts must be repaired because a replacement part may not be available.
ASE certification is a plus, but not required.
While Mustangs make up the bigger part of our customers, we work on all classic and collectible cars.
We are looking for a self-starter that is capable of working with minor supervision. You must also be able to work closely with others.
Must be capable of balancing speed and quality in their work.
Pay will depend on experience.
