| Athletic Director
Holy Names University, seeks full-time Athletic Director. HNU fields teams in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s golf. Over the last 9 years Holy Names has won three conference All-Sports awards, 18 conference championships, and competed in 18 NAIA National and Regional Tournaments.
Position Reports to:
Vice President for Student Affairs
Terms of Employment:
12 month, full-time, exempt position
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Universities Intercollegiate Department of Athletics
- Monitor all compliance/eligibility issues for student-athletes and their participation in NAIA athletics
- Monitor student-athletes academic performance attendance, and overall well-being as HNU students
- Manage the fiscal year, athletic scholarship, and summer camp budgets
- Monitor all revenue generation and fundraising activities and events
- Supervise games, staff, summer camps, work study students and events
- Manage fitness center, schedule open hours and workers, and maintain upkeep of equipment
- Manage all athletic facilities and facility use on campus
- Coordinate all rentals, schedules, contracts, and set-downs for external groups
Requires Master’s Degree, in sport management/administration or related field, at least three years experience in college athletic administration, and strong knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations. Must be able to relate well with college students and unique issues around college student-athletes, posses strong personal, ability to communicate with effectively with a culturally diverse campus community, and able to work collaboratively with a supportive professional demeanor. Also requires evening/weekend hours.
