The role of this position is to assist Merchandise Planning with item forecasting and execution of buying strategies. Responsibilities include developing partnerships with and influencing merchant team and vendors contacts. Handle SKU maintenance, entering/updating forecasts and purchase orders, business analysis and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Support Planning Department with forecast and buy plans.
· Assist with negotiation of inventory commitments, delivery dates,
· Revise delivery commitments based on demand to meet established fill commitments.
· Track production and shipping of goods with vendors, through to receipt at distribution center.
· Create and maintain item forecasts with Inventory management system.
· Proof catalogs to ensure accurate depiction of products.
· Support customer service by assisting Call Center with product information.
Qualifications:
· Strong commitment to accuracy, verification of work and quality output
· Retail experience a plus.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficient in Excel
· Sound aptitude for organizing, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
