JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop business strategies and seasonal assortment plans to maximize sales, profits and development of the brand for assigned categories in eCommerce and Bridal registry businesses (Cookware, Bakeware, Food, Books). Identify opportunities and recommend new product or concepts for department. Coordinate information across channels and across functional areas, working closely with Inventory Management, Creative Services, and E com Business Team to ensure established processes are followed and timelines met. Manage on-line presentation including product placement options, promotions, sub-cat & image ranking, user experience and pricing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify opportunities and recommend new product or concepts for department or area.
Perform market analysis, competitive shop and analyze sales trends to keep abreast of current trends. Develop an understanding of customer behavior in on-line store and through call center feedback: manage assortment, presentation and pricing to optimize sales and profits.
Identify emerging trends and develop business strategies outlining strengths, weaknesses, new opportunities and threats. Communicate annual and seasonal strategies to functional areas.
Develop and recommend seasonal and core product mix for department or area. Collaborate with Inventory Management to develop annual and seasonal financial plans for eCommerce and Bridal.

Provide Inventory Management with final assortment plans (line lists), product details, target retails, estimated IMU, importance to overall assortment (big bets), and depiction for developing purchase projections and buy plans.
Maintain relationships, resolve issues, and conduct final negotiations with significant suppliers and agents as necessary (domestic and overseas)
Provide product information team with information to maximize sales and reduce returns.
Analyze returns and recommend solutions to reduce return rate. Work with packaging to improve protective packaging.
