This painting was kept in a crawl space for years. It still sits in its original frame with the classic linear lines that was consistent of the frames at the turn of the century. The gentleman has very captivating eyes with strong silent features; the artist had a superb hand. The painting is signed and dated and can stand a cleaning from a skilled art enthusiast.
This painting was auctioned off at one time because there is a auction lot number on the back of the frame. The frame has two drill holes, one on either side and I was told it was because it most likely hanged on a ship or vessel at one point and this prevented it from rocking. I have never had this painting appraised so have no idea how much this painting is worth outside its artistic value.
Please let me know if you have any questions... the camera in no way captured the art like it should have.The painting sits behind glass hence the glare marks from the flash. I am selling one more piece of art if you are in the market.
