Afshar 3 Medallion Rug - Second half of 19th century.

Description:
This rug is complete, has very intense colors and
key like medallions. It has a blue main field framed
by madder red, white medallions, and has several shades
of blue, and green. The rug has very classic Afshar borders
and a distinctive design in the medallions. It has a very
sturdy foundation and is in very good condition despite the
fact the pile is somewhat low. The dyes are all natural
and pictures can be supplied upon request.
