Student protests police using flashers to run red light
Friday, February 24, 2006; Posted: 11:16 a.m. EST (16:16 GMT)

Clay Palmer, a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, honked his car horn when he saw a policeman turn on blue flashers to pass through a red traffic light. The officer then turned the flashers off after moving through the intersection.
Palmer said officer Matthew Puglise then stopped his patrol car and issued him a ticket for honking his horn for no reason -- a violation of the city noise ordinance.
The charge was reduced to a warning Wednesday when he went before a judge who told him he acted wrongly.
"The horn blowing is not the real problem here, it's that you were trying to correct the police and they didn't need correcting," Judge Russell Bean said.

Palmer left traffic court saying he still believed officers were abusing their authority.

"I see this cop with his blue lights come screeching up beside me and I didn't know what was going on," Palmer said. "Before they got to the next light, I could see they turned their blue lights off."

Officer Puglise said he was helping fellow police track down a speeder when Palmer saw him pass through the red light.

Judge Bean said Puglise was right and Palmer was wrong.

"I expect officers to follow the rules like everyone else," Bean said.

My commentary: The glaring problem is Judge Bean "expects" officers to follow the rules. This is a foolish assumption on the part of a Judge. The fact is that police officers get away with murdering innocent young asian mothers as was an example in San Jose, CA. They also try to get away with murdering their own family as was the case with officer Camm in Tennessee. Too often the DA's and judges in our country hold police officers to a lower standard of the law. When this happens a pathetic miscarriage of justice takes place the likes of which smacks of communist China and Nazi Germany.
If you are reading this and you have never been wrongfully arrested in the US then find someone who has and you will soon feel shock as though you are speaking to someone arrested in a foreign country. The tactics commonly used by police and law enforcement in our country are no different than KGB tactics. If you are wrongfully accused and arrested here in the US, your life can be ruined in literally a few months and worse so if you are professionally lisensed. On the other hand if you are a police officer, DA or Judge (and I am generalizing there are exceptions thank God)you can normally expect special treatment. For police officers (peace officers are no longer since they keep the jails less empty) they have internal affairs. Where they can justify almost any criminal act with a simple statement of justification. Here's what I think needs to done immediately in our country:

START HOLDING police officers (DA's & Judges too) to a HIGHER STANDARD!!! And STOP holding police officers to a standard that is lower than that of real criminals!!!

Police officers, DA's & Judges aim is to pursue the truth! Stop pursuing blind quotas, polital agendas, & racial profiling. Begin to pursue your professions with integrity by going after the truth. Stop nearly always accepting a woman's word as truth. Men lie too but it seems that police and have a jarhead tendancy to accept a woman's word as truth. This costs tax payers millions of dollars in wrongful prosecution and damages countless lives of innocent young children. SO start INVESTIGATING and beware of wrongful accusation and heresay.

Go after factual evidence not ficticious (horseshit). Our courts are decaying, clogged up SESPOOLS of injustice and apathy. Esspecially in the drug & domestic violence courts. For the most part what a sad, pathetic failure of justice the drug and demostic violence (DV) courts cast sinister shadows on our land.
These police, DA's, Judges merely perpetrate drug and DV offenses. What I mean is once someone is charged statistics show that there is a high likely hood the suspect individual will repeat the crime again. Therefore the current system is part of the problem, it offers no viable solution. They continually request for more money from taxpayers. Giving these agencies more money is like giving a drug addict more of their drug. The addict feels better for a little while until they start to see the truth: that is the drug/tax$$$ is not really helping but they don't feel like getting "help/going after the truth" because it would be too much work. Well I say it HIGH time to pull up our sleeves America and go to fricking work.
Unless you have the good Lord's favor and your wrongfully charged with a crime your in pile of trouble (yes, in the USA). If this is you, I suggest you pray and ask God for a miracle and a good attorney.
